SpinDrive successfully integrated active magnetic bearing controller Magma X800 to Runtech’s RunEco EP 1000 Turbo Blower with 1 MW electric motor from The Switch at a prominent Turkish paper mill by Ankutsan A.S. as published by Runtech Systems.
The collaboration between Runtech Systems, The Switch and SpinDrive has resulted in a significant advancement in industrial efficiency and sustainability. By combining Runtech’s expertise in turbo blower technology, the electric motor by The Switch with SpinDrive’s controller, Magma X800 and the expertise on AMB control, the RunEco EP 1000 Turbo Blower delivers unparalleled performance and reliability. It contributes to enhanced productivity and reduced energy consumption in the dewatering process.
The RunEco EP 1000 Turbo Blower offers a range of benefits, including improved energy efficiency, increased reliability and environmental sustainability.
Turbo blower EP1000 with SpinDrive controller collected 8 000+ operating hours until May 2025 at 600 kW capacity. Based on Runtech case studies, high-speed turbo blower improves energy efficiency by 50% compared to liquid ring pumps typically used for this process.
With SpinDrive solution EP1000 in Turkey saved about 2 400 MWh (600kW x 50% x 8 000 hours). With the Turkish industrial electricity production, it mitigated 1 221 tons of CO2 eq. emissions per one unit (2 400 MWh x 0.509 kg CO2 eq.).
With industrial electricity price in Turkey of 108,93 EUR/MWh in 2024 the economic benefit for the end user over a year of operation is above 260 000 EUR.
