A high conductivity carbon paste to replace silver in solar cells metallization
GraphEnergyTech is developing a high-conductivity carbon paste leveraging the unique properties of graphene to replace silver inks traditionally used in solar cell metallization. Our solution enables the printing of low-cost, metal-free electrodes compatible with standard manufacturing processes such as screen printing. By combining graphene with a tailored formulation, we achieve electrical performance that has the potential to replace silver while offering up to 87% cost reduction and a significantly lower environmental footprint. The paste is optimized for perovskite solar cells and is under development for mainstream silicon technologies like HJT and TOPCon. Our innovation addresses both cost and sustainability challenges in the photovoltaic industry, offering a scalable path toward more affordable and eco-friendly solar energy production.
