Today, electric vehicles are a significant consumer of electricity that can affect the user's electricity consumption to the point that it can cause overloads of the user's home grid. INCH reduces the need for grid connection point upgrade by using machine learning algorithms coupled with real-time building consumption monitoring. INCH interactiveness thus ensures the connected electric vehicle is fully charged by the desired departure time.
The main advantage of INCH lies in its seamless support for optimisation of electric vehicle charging. INCH's power management option helps prevent overloads and potential additional costs of buildings grid connection upgrade. The AI algorithm shifts the charging period to periods with lower energy delivery tariffs and higher production from local (renewable) energy sources, which allows for more cost-efficient and cleaner EV charging.
