Traditionally, air purifiers rely on HEPA filters to perform their function. HEPA filters are constructed of dense polymer-heavy materials, plastics, and fibreglass which have an extremely damaging and lasting impact on the environment. The industry norm is for an air purifier unit to be sold, the filters will be used for their optimal life, then more filters will be re-purchased, on average 1-4 times per year. Tens of millions of these harmful filters end up as waste on our planet every single year, leading to enormous environmental damage. This is the problem we have created a pioneering and sustainable alternative to. The Briiv Air Filter is made completely from natural materials including bioplastics and recyclable materials like cardboard and glass, with zero-plastic, natural, and biodegradable filters which disappear upon disposal in a matter of months. Our three stage filter process is engineered to perform on the same level as a plastic model, without costing the Earth.
