SuRelease™ nano950 offers an innovative, sustainable and reusable coating Solution for concrete formwork.
The construction industry uses moulds, also called formwork, to pour concrete and form a structure. These moulds are traditionally made from wood, which requires the use of toxic chemical solvents to stop the concrete sticking to the mould. NanoPhyll's SuRelease™ nano950 presents a sustainable solution to this problem. The Solution is single-application, reusable nanocomposite polymer top coat which can be used on a range of materials, including steel, aluminium, wood, PVC, HDPE, rubber and concrete substrates. SuRelease™ nano950 has excellent properties in strength, durability, anti-abrasion, corrosion, antibacterial, antifungal, and weather resistance. SuRelease™ nano950 is specially designed to withstand high abrasion and to use as a permanent release agent for formwork. By embracing this Solution, the construction agency can save time, reduce material use and increase the sustainability of their operations.

SuRelease™ concrete coating by Nanophyll Inc.
Implemented by Synergy Inc. in Montreal (Canada) in 2022
Synergy Inc., a general contractor and construction manager commissioned Nanophyll Inc. to cover 30 concrete formwork columns with its Solution in January 2022. Located in Montreal, this implementation aimed to reuse column molds for several uses (up to 50 times) without the reapplication or cleaning. The coatings also prevent the use of conventional mold release agents (oil/grease) increasing construction efficiency and reducing cost of labor, cleaning and rapid mold deterioration.
Result
Reduces co2eq by 24% compared to conventional mold releasing agents (oil / grease)
Nanophyll Inc.
NanoPhyll develops and manufactures hydrophobic nanocoating that improve the properties of metals, plastics, concrete and ceramics for industrial applications.
