Tilt is an innovative energy flexibility platform that helps buildings use electricity more intelligently and sustainably. Thanks to our advanced AI-based algorithms, we accurately predict electricity consumption, allowing us to anticipate peaks and shift consumption over time to relieve the grid. By connecting various equipment such as building management systems, electric vehicle charging stations or behind-the-meter batteries, we enable our clients to actively contribute to the transition towards cleaner, more flexible energy by avoiding reliance on fossil fuels during peak hours. Our platform is easy to integrate, with no additional costs, and unlocks additional revenue from the first year while reducing their carbon footprint.

The Environmental Benefits

  • Distributed grid flexibility enables small assets like electric vehicles and home batteries to collectively provide up to 130 GW of flexible capacity by 2030, transforming individual technologies into a powerful, coordinated grid management resource
  • European power systems will require up to 7 times larger flexibility infrastructure to successfully integrate growing renewable energy sources, making distributed energy management technologies critical for grid stability
  • Currently, only 5% of the 200 GW of flexible capacity in European buildings is actively utilized, representing a massive untapped technical potential for grid optimization through intelligent asset aggregation
  • By reducing peak electricity demand by up to 14,5%, demand-side flexibility reduce reliance on gas power plants, cutting CO2 emissions by 350–450 grams per kWh avoided during peak periods​
  • With 15% of electricity demand made flexible, annual carbon savings already reach 1.5% in Germany and the UK. Increasing flexibility and rising electricity consumption will amplify these savings, further reducing reliance on fossil fuels and accelerating

  • Demand-side flexibility, relying on existing electrical equipment, doesn't require any CAPEX nor OPEX, unlike gas "peaker" plants, which incur high operational and fuel costs to meet peak electricity demand
  • Demand-side Flexibility could save up to €29bn in grid investment annually by 2030
