Boundless Impact Research & Analytics and the Solar Impulse Foundation have teamed up to expedite the analysis and validation of cleantech solutions, using a science-based method to assess commercial viability and introduce cleantech entrepreneurs to an international group of investors and technology leaders.
This “green deal” measures a private cleantech company’s value for impact investors, and rallies cleantech innovators already aligned with Boundless to submit their high- performing solutions for the Solar Impulse Efficient Solutions label. Going through the Boundless Climate Analysis and receiving the Efficient Solutions Label helps companies scale and grow faster through:
Access to investors
Access to commercial and supply chain partners
Access to new international markets
International recognition and enhanced credibility
Validation through Life Cycle Analysis by industry experts
Increased visibility through Solar Impulse’s social media, digital and broadcast media, keynote talks, interviews and other communication channels
Solar Impulse Foundation founder and chairman Bertrand Piccard leads the foundation’s search for 1000 Solutions that are profitable while protecting the environment. As of mid-September, 2020 about 700 solutions have been labeled as Efficient Solutions for governments and decision makers in the quest to reduce CO2 emissions and meet United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Boundless shares the foundation’s goal of encouraging investors, business leaders and governments to adopt more ambitious environmental targets and policies. Boundless minimizes investment risk by capturing and verifying the data necessary to prove positive environmental outcomes and profitability. The process weeds out over- promising that tries to greenwash investors, as their analysis is based on tangible data and real-time analysis performed by experts in Life Cycle Analysis.
“Profitable climate solutions that exist today represent the biggest market opportunity of our century,” says Solar Impulse Chairman and Founder Bertrand Piccard, adding, “Today we have clean technologies that are solid investments, replacing old processes with modern methods that protect the environment in support of a prosperous, vibrant economy.”
“As we move toward carbon pricing in most large economies, investors and companies will be increasingly held accountable for honest and rigorous reporting on their environmental footprint,” says Boundless CEO Michele Demers. “Independent verification of climate performance is moving from a helpful way to explain the value of a cleantech company to an integral part of their financial valuation.”
