The Checkerspot Platform - A platform optimizing resources and footprint to go from innovative idea to high performance product

Working with nature, the Checkerspot Platform enables the DESIGN—at the molecular level—of new materials. Our vertically integrated, rapid iteration development process is designed to optimize the time, resources, and environmental footprint it takes to go from innovative ideas to leading, high performance products. Companies are craving new, more sustainable materials to differentiate themselves with, innovators are hungry to work with something new, and consumers are demanding safer, more sustainable materials in their products. The field of materials science has exhausted new permutations of materials derived from petrochemical and commodity vegetable oil monomers. Biology is enabling a post-petroleum future.

Key features

  • Checkerspot® Cast Polyurethane: bio based content of at least 58%.
