SuburVAN - Door2rail autonomous electric minivans for a convenient, car-free, 99% cleaner commute in suburbs

Due to the poor quality of public transport in suburban areas, over 130 million Europeans depend on a car to go to work. SuburVAN are door-to-rail autonomous electric minivans that pick suburban commuters at their door and take them to a commuter railway station in less than 10 minutes, so that they can continue their trip on public transport. Combined with commuter railways, SuburVAN autonomous electric minivans can provide the fastest commute in metropolitan areas and small and mid-size cities, while reducing CO2 emissions coming from cars by 99%. Using the minivans is completely contactless, and they are automatically disinfected after every trip.

Key features

  • Over its lifetime, SuburVAN's autonomous electric minivans will emit 32 tons of CO2, or 0,4% of the 7190 tons of CO2 emissions of the 70 private cars commuters would use instead.
  • The lifetime cost of the minivans for municipalities is zero, and they can even generate profit.
  • The precision of our minivans' automated guidance system is +/- 5 cm.
  • 99% reduction in CO2 emissions.
  • One minivan replaces 70 private cars.
  • Increase by 6 the number of people who use public transport in suburbs (and divide the number of people who commute by car)

Profitability

  • 70% transport costs saving for suburban commuters.
  • Neutral total cost of operation for cities.
  • Higher revenu generation for commuter rail.
