MyHEAT Solar Platform - A visual rooftop solar potential calculator configured with local values, providing residents with potential solar installation costs and savings
The MyHEAT solar potential platform provides an easy way for municipalities and utilities to engage and educate residents on the costs and savings for rooftop solar installation.
MyHEAT Solar is a web-based tool designed to deliver quick and accurate solar potential data for individual buildings. The base solar potential data is provided by Google’s Project Sunroof through a web-based API. The Google service is highly scalable and is designed for worldwide consumption. The technology uses a byproduct of Google 3D mapping, combined with solar potential data, and local values to provide a personal savings indicator. Residents can find their home or building on a map, visualize the solar potential, and customize a potential solar install based on their electricity consumption. Once a user views their rooftop solar potential, the platform provides the "Easy Button" for residents to participate in any solar programs available locally.
