HiveX - A stationary system for continuous, energy-efficient collection of river waste thanks to its functional architecture with high environmental compatibility

8 million tons of plastic waste are discharged into the oceans every year, a large part of it via rivers. To tackle this challenge, HiveX, an innovative stationary platform system, redirects plastic waste with a passive internal architecture using the currents of the river and safely stores it. Thanks to its modular design, it operates at high efficiency in different rivers of the world. highly versatile, HiveX is a low-tech, low-budget but very robust solution which can be used in the majority of rivers in South East Asia or sub-Saharan Africa.
