ASIO - An indoor-inspection solution to shorten down time and safely inspect confined spaces
Flybotix' ASIO drone aims at increasing safety of power plants and energy production assets by preventing accidents through faster and easier inspections. Not only ASIO helps avoiding catastrophic pollution threats through regular inspection, but it helps also reducing CO2 emissions by maintaining the productivity of renewable energy in hydro power-plants and wind turbines and increasing their share in the energy mix. ASIO is designed for the safety of workers, by alleviating the need for them to enter difficult spaces, keeping the pilot and inspector out of the dangerous areas while ensuring a high image quality and an efficient way to assess the required maintenance. Unlike typical drones with 4 rotors, ASIO relies on an innovative propulsion system using only 2 propellers. This doubles flight time compared to what's available, making ASIO the longest-flying drone of its category. The impact of drones on CO2 emissions will be significant and ASIO will certainly contribute to it.
