UrbiseKo

UrbiseKo start-up has devised a GIS based “Ecological balance sheet calculator” for Urban and Rural Municipalities.

Multi scalar approach, from municipal territory to region to the EU using Natural Capital valuation and human activity weighted footprint, UrbiseKo delivers a balance sheet assessment for one given territory. On one side, valuation of Naturel Capital based on ecosystems protection using EU and regional data. On the other side, human activity weighted footprint using Copernicus (LC/LU and Urban atlas). UrbiseKo is the missing active GIS tool and approach between sustainable program and project for sustainable spatial planning. With UrbiseKo municipalities and regions could manage efficiently the equilibrium between natural resources and human activities leading to a practical and scalable sustainable spatial planning. Our solution is a strict geographical approach of sustainability meaning that every project has a geographical extend which consequently is accessible by inhabitants. Target market - Each step of the multi scalar approach with three types of offering inside our value proposition : Knowledge sharing, tool deployment of our GIS and subscription fees.
