Société coopérative Centre de développement durable des Alpes (CDDA)
Global educational centre to enable and inspire innovative, efficient sustainable solutions to adapt to climate change.
The cooperative "Alpine Centre for Sustainable Development" (CDDA) aims to inform and inspire the population ranging from children, students and general public through a global offer at the heart of the community. The centre will be developed in the Alps in one of areas the most affected by climate change. The centre will include a conference centre, a permanent interactive exhibition, an educational centre, a research and development centre, permaculture gardens, a locally sourced restaurant, a zero waste shop and residential ecocabines. The centre will be completely autonomous in energy and water and all the waste will be treated on site. Access by public transport. The public can actively participate in the development and construction of the project and be a member of the cooperative.
