The Solution provides safe and clean disinfection of potable water "on demand" without the use of chemicals or mercury containing components. The basis of UV disinfection is the application of a germicidal wavelength emission (UV-C) targeting microorganism DNA which is disrupted and therefore can not replicate and hence is not able to induce illness or disease. The application of UV for this purpose is well understood and accepted. The novelty of this solution is the utilization of compact UV-C LED technology in place of existing solutions that use mercury vapor lamps to emit the necessary germicidal wavelengths. Compact dimensions and straightforward installation means the Solution can easily be integrated into typical drinking water dispensing products close to the point of consumption
