A green technology for the elimination of micropollutants in water

Identification
Since micropollutants are a key water quality challenge, we aim to develop a green technology on an industrial scale in order to improve a very dire situation: nowadays, more than 110.000 chemical substances are estimated to be in use within the EU and some of these substances do have toxic properties at minute concentration in a given environment. Our position in the market aims at neutralizing chemical and biological micropollutants from aquatic environments.
BioStart develops technological solutions in the field of water depollution for people (local authorities, manufacturers, agricultural entrepreneurs, water operators, ...) having to face some of the major environmental challenges of the 21st century, . In order to address major global concerns regarding the environmental impact of emerging pollutants in European waters, we have developed BIOSFILTER, a cost-efficient and eco-friendly treatment efficiently depolluting both drinking water and wastewater treatment plants from micropollutants. The BIOSFILTER solution uses a new polymer, developed as an agent at capturing micropollutants.
